Music Monday – Series 05

Analog Tapes

Last week was Insanely busy!!

Peter Dundov – Rain

Dundov’s album Escapements blew me away earlier this year. Every track is meticulously crafted with free flowing synth lines… Arps… and a mood that will lift you off the ground an take you on an interstellar journey to that place in the universe where cities are towering synthesizers, and streets are circuit boards.  Rain is stunning… it has a slow build but when it finally reaches the top… its a lovely downpour. Enjoy

Memory Cassette – Ghost in the Boombox

Taken from the ‘Rewind When Sleepy" EP released this year. Memory Cassette is a collection of mystery musicians hailing from Philidelphia and New Jersey areas. This project has been catching a lot of attention lately and I must say its pretty sick. Really love the retro throwbacks, the imperfect drifty vibe, and those seductive vocals. I really cant wait for more from this group… and if you haven’t heard their other mystery project ‘Weird Tapes’; get to googlin’.

Air – Eat My Beat

Whats not to like about Air?  Its all about the groove, the melody, and space. Taken from their new album entitled "Love’.

Kings of Convenience – Freedom and It’s Owner

Fresh off their new album. KOC always blow me away with the simplicity of their tunes. A touch of samba…jazz…and soul seamlessly weaved into strands of beautiful poetry.  Though most of their songs are on the sad side… after listening to them i cant help but find myself feeling more clear and a with a greater appreciation for life.. the paths I’ve chosen…and the roads I’m still traveling upon.
